Dog Friendly Cottage in Cornwall
Blue Monkey is a favourite with animal lovers as it is renowned for being one of the best dog friendly cottages in Cornwall. Well behaved four four-legged guests are welcome at Blue Monkey and the surrounding area is very dog friendly providing extensive dog walks along the coastal paths. Most pubs welcome dogs and happily provide water bowls as do the local ferries.
Blue Monkey's ground floor is tiled and dogs are most at home either in front of the open fire or snuggled up on rugs by the sofa. The enclosed courtyard terrace garden at the rear is a lovely space for pets to stretch, although the nearest dog friendly beach is less than a minute from the door, making Blue Monkey the best holiday cottage to rent in Cornwall.
Dogs will relish being on the coastal path with 2 stunning walks in both directions. One to Rame Head and the other towards Mount Edgcumbe via the Minado a vast expanse of open grass land. Also within a 5 minute drive is Whitsand Bay a stunning 7km white sandy beach, which is a dog’s paradise.
Dogs are allowed all year on Kingsand beach. However they are banned at Cawsand beach from Easter Day to October 1st but can roam freely all year round on Whitsand beach.
Blue Monkey welcomes well behaved pets for a fee of £75 per pet.
No dogs are allowed on the furniture or above the ground floor.
If guests want to go out for the day without their dog, they can book them into Trehill Kennels & Cattery, Rame, Torpoint, Cornwall PL10 1LF Tel: 01752 829018 rather than leave them at Blue Monkey and risk bad behaviour and loss of deposit.
Via the downloadable link at the bottom of the page is a dog guide which shows which of the local beaches are always open to dogs.
