Plymouth-Christmas-Market

Coming to stay at Blue Monkey Cornwall before Christmas?  Researching local festive fun, I found a couple of Christmas markets convenient to Blue Monkey with fun things to do for all the family – including a visit from Ho Ho Ho…

Plymouth Christmas Market: 30 November to 21 December

The city centre Piazza will be completely transformed as the Christmas Market sets out more than 50 beautiful log cabin style stalls trading from 30 November to 21 December 2017. Proudly sponsored by Aster Homes.

The stalls, selling unique hand-crafted gifts from the South West and further afield, will be festooned in fairy lights offering warming drinks, a Bavarian bar with heated seats, and festive food to keep visitors going – perfect for those chilly, late night shopping trips.

Visitors to the market will be able to enjoy an array of local produce to sample

30 November to 21 December 2017

Plymouth City Centre Piazza

Christmas in Looe – 2nd to 3rd December

December the 2nd, the first night of Christmas in Looe will be a night not to miss. The traditional lantern parade will create a beautiful Christmas atmosphere all over the town. Later on, make sure you’re in the town to see the river’s edge illuminated at the Christmas lights switch on. An evening stroll along the harbour with the lights reflecting on the calm water will fill you with Christmas spirit.

Do you have little ones in your life that would love to meet Father Christmas? Bring them to the Quayside car park, West Looe for the festive market on the 3rd December. Santa will be arriving at 2pm at the seafront, so be sure to give him a warm welcome and follow his procession through town. There will be food and drink stalls, a children’s entertainer and a nativity barn for all to enjoy. As the evening draws in it’s time for the adults, enjoy mulled cider, mince pies and live music at the Quayside centre from 7pm with a grand finale fireworks display.

Continue the fun on the following afternoon at the Christmas Cider and Ale Festival kicking off at at the Quayside Centre from 1pm. We like the sound of the craft and produce market, perfect for getting those little bits that really make the finishing touches on Christmas Day. To top it all off, there will be live music and local fundraising stalls.

How can you resist?  If you’re not planning a visit – maybe you should…
